Carolyn Martin

Ms. Carolyn E. Martin was born on March 3, 1951, to the late Kermit and Frankie Mae Steeple-Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Todd Martin; her brothers, Gary Martin, Rafus Martin, and Larry Martin; and her sisters, Theresa Arthur, Dorothy Mae Moore, Evelyn Jackson, and Patsy Hodges.

Carolyn peacefully departed this life on July 28, 2025, at her home in Toccoa, Georgia.

She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Trinity C.M.E. Church, where she remained a faithful member throughout her life. At Trinity, she was active in the Missionary, Culinary, and SWAT Team ministries.

Carolyn graduated from Whitman Street High School in Toccoa, Georgia. She dedicated 15 years of service to the Whitman Street Daycare Center and later worked at Wendy’s for 16 years until her retirement.

She will always be remembered for her loving and caring spirit, her exceptional cooking that she generously shared with the community, and the radiant smile that brightened every room she entered.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Scott Martin of Toccoa, GA, and Mark Martin of Hartwell, GA; her daughter, Latonya Martin of Toccoa, GA; her brothers, Tony Martin (Kathy) of Easley, SC, and Kermit “Blunch” Martin of Toccoa, GA; her sister, Mary Jean Crumpler of Atlanta, GA; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Carolyn Saturday, August 2, 2025, 2 pm, at Trinity CME Church in Toccoa, Ga. Public viewing will be from 3 pm- 7pm on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Moss- Stovall- Neal Funeral Home.
