Effie Thornton Crawford
Mother Crawford was born on September 2, 1932, to the late Jessie & Lonnie Thornton. She was the last surviving sibling of six: Mary Richie (Hubert), Weldon Thornton (Martha), Edna Jackson (Robert), James Thornton (Martha), and Myrtle Hayes (John).
From an early age, she has always been a faithful servant of God and a dedicated member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She was an extremely active member until the health of her husband, Deacon James Crawford, and her own health began to decline.
She leaves to cherish her most precious memories: her only daughter, Emily Montgomery (James), two grandchildren, Tameka Williams (Daniel) Demetrous Montgomery (Melissa), and three great-grandchildren, Kaniya, Nionna, and Zionna Williams. She also leaves several nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
