Frederick J Trimier

March 31, 1957 — October 30, 2025

Toccoa

Frederick James Trimier was born on March 31*t, 1957, to the late Berry Trimier and Lucille Green of Toccoa, GA

Fred attended Whitman Street School (Class of 1970) and graduated from Stephens County High School in 1975.

Fred's employment history includes Atlas Van, Rhodes Furniture Store (as a driver and a display retailer), independent contractor for Office Depot, and for Cobb County School District as a bus driver.

Fred's Christian Walk began at Trinity CME Church in Toccoa, GA. He later rededicated his life at Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Lithia Springs, GA. There he was baptized under the leadership of the late Elder Roy & Missionary Evelyn Hardin. He served faithfully on the Usher Board; he served as the Pastor's Aide and even sang with Roy Hardin Sr. Gospel Choir. In 2004, Fred became a dedicated member of Divine Grace PHC in Powder Springs, GA, where he carried out many duties including Superintendent of Sunday School as well as Head of the Men's Day Program for 8 years. Fred later accepted the call to become a Minister and was ordained in June of 2008. Fred's last sermon was October 26th, 2025. His words to the church were "Get ready to leave here and meet the Lord. He is coming in the twinkle of an eye".

On February 20th, 1992, Fred became a kidney transplant recipient. He was a faithful volunteer for the National Kidney Foundation for many years and even received an award from Georgia Governor Zell Miller for his volunteer services. He was a member of Team GA and participated in US Transplant games, which is where he met the love of his life, Charity, in 1994. There they shared a connection because they both loved playing basketball. They won the Gold Medal for coed basketball 3 years in a row. They were united in holy matrimony July 21, 2001.

Fred was a very loving and caring man, often referred to as a "gentle giant". He was always willing to lend a helping hand. In 2011 he and his wife became foster parents. For 11 years, they provided a loving, nurturing Christian home, catering to the special needs' population, for many children and even adults. He enjoyed driving, going on vacation, and loved nothing more than his family and the Lord.
