Gilbert Teasley

Gilbert "Doo-Rite" Teasley, 73, of Buford, Ga, passed away on November 22,2024 , at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, Ga. Gilbert was born in Martin, Ga on January 25, 1951. He attended Toccoa High School and continued his education at North Georgia Technical College pursuing his career as a cosmetologist. In his early adulthood he was the owner of Doo-Rite Hair Salon, in Toccoa. He retired from Enersys Inc, in Gwinett County. As a retiree he still made time to work part-time at Enersys Inc. Gilbert is preceded in death by his father, John Evans, Sr.; mother, Ruby Teasley; two brother in-laws, Donald and Ronald Grant; sister in-law, Gloria Grant; and his son, Algeria Brown. Gilbert is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mrs. Saundra Teasley; 3 brothers, Phillip Teasely (Emily), of Toccoa, Ga, Benny Ray Teasley, and George Teasley (Donna), of Greenville, Sc; 2 sisters, Largine Martin ( Freddie), of Toccoa, Ga, Geraldine Cowan (Frank), of Toccoa, Ga; 3 sons, Akin Wole "Fats" Teasley, of Toccoa, Ga, DeAun Johns (Reva), of Atlanta Ga, and Gilbert Wilson, of Toccoa, Ga; 3 daughters, Yolanda and Valyncia Trimier, of Toccoa, Ga, and Ruby Jones, of Greenville Sc; brother in-laws, John Grant (Patricia), of Toccoa, Ga, Bentley Brown, of Toccoa, Ga, William and Fredrick Payne, of Atlanta, Ga; sister in-laws Judith Brown, of Westminister, Sc, and Elizabeth BrownGuice, of Lithonia, Ga, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
