He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Tukes, his two brothers, Roy Montgomery, James Mitchell Tukes and nephew Christopher Tukes (Mooka).
Jerry leaves to Cherish behind his loving daughter, Lisa Butler of Toccoa, Georgia; and his two treasured grandchildren, Carlisa Hood and Silas Scott-Moore. His last place of employment was Caterpillar in Toccoa, where he worked as a machine operator.
Jerry enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking out, listening to music, and watching action movies. Known for his warm smile and generous spirit, Jerry was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. In the community, he was affectionately known as the “Taxi Cab Driver,” as he frequently helped others by driving them to doctor’s appointments and assisting with daily errands.
