Joseph "Buck" Teasley

We celebrate the life of Joseph “Buck” Teasley who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, to reunite with his wife of 50 years.

Buck was born on December 16, 1948, in Stephens County to the late Hugh Dorsey and Alma Julia Grant Teasley. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his siblings, Eugene Teasley, Sammy Teasley, Christine Staggers, Jimmy Teasley and Thelma Cleveland.

On March 29, 1975, he joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Elaine Payne Teasley and to this union, 2 children were born: Dale Teasley and Tiffanie LaBoon.

Buck was a veteran of the US Army where he earned the purple heart award, and he was also a member of the local Amvet Post. He spent 38 years as a machinist at Patterson Pump wherefrom he retired. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, playing cards and cooking for his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children Dale (Lisa) Teasley of Braselton GA, Tiffanie (Sandy) LaBoon of Toccoa, GA, 5 grandchildren, Dra (Brittany) LaBoon, Tangie Richie, Ni LaBoon, Scoot Teasley, Desmin Teasley, 2 great grandchildren, Heaven and Kiki LaBoon. 2 sisters; Lorraine Crawford, Marylou Oglesby, 4 sisters in law, Janice Byrd, Linda Drinkard, Alberta Teasley, and Marynell Teasley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
