Joesphine Pittman Fortson

Joesphine Pittman Fortson was born on April 11, 1960 in Royston, Ga, to the late Hazel "Pike" and Rosa Lee Cherry Pittman. Joesphine graduated from Franklin County High School in 1978. She attended some college courses at Piedmont College. She was a homemaker.

Joesphine went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton, Ga, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Woodrow Wilson Pittman, Hazel James Pittman, Robert Lee Pittman; two sisters, Mary Ruth Pittman and Jannie Pittman Eberhart. 

 She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Willie Fortson, Sr. of Toccoa, Ga; son, Willie Fortson, Jr.; two daughters, Joesette Fortson and Clarisa Fortson, both of Toccoa, Ga; granddaughter, Milani Usher; aunt, Addie Williams, of Cornelia, Ga; three brothers, Larry Pittman (Lora), Eugene Pittman both of Toccoa, Ga and James Furr, of Martin, Ga; two sisters, Louise Marshall, of Martin, Ga and Lurina Wilson (Tony), of Jefferson, Ga, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
