Mrs. Martha Mae Brown Maxwell departed her life on January 2, 2023. She was born on March 15, 1931. She worked in manufacturing until retirement.

She was married to Clarence George Maxwell, who passed in 2016.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Gail Mayfield (James).

She is survived by five children: Mary Jo Moss (Marion) of Clarkesville, TN, Clarence George Maxwell jr. (Irean) of San Antonio, TX, James Earnest Maxwell (Nicole) of San Antonio, TX, Ester Marcella Maxwell and Carolyn Elaine Maxwell (Thales Wideman) both of Toccoa, GA; 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces (great), nephews (great), cousins, and friends also survive.
