On Monday, January 26, 2026, Robert transitioned peacefully into eternal life.

Robert was born to the late Ellion and Grace Banks. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ben Gholston; his sisters, Queen Ester Gholston and MaryJean Gholston; and several older siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Elliott Banks, Duwayne Langham, and Aaron Trotter; one daughter, Kendra Patterson; three sisters, JoAnne Phippis, Rebecca High and Leonna Faye Lott ; one brother, Charles Banks ; one daughter-in-law, Shanta Banks; and five beloved grandchildren—Braelyn, Bryson, Brianna, Yuri, and Akira—along with a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Robert proudly served in the United States Army and was well known throughout the metro Atlanta area for his work in jewelry repair. He had a passion for fixing things, a gift for making people laugh, and a deep love for spending time with his family.

Though his life was marked by challenges, Robert met each one with courage and determination. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of strength, resilience, and love that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
