Shirlane Jeanette Tate

Shirlane Jeanette Tate, age 61, was born to the late Shirley Tate Oglesby and Donnie Oglesby on December 1, 1961 in Toccoa, Georgia. She transitioned peacefully on January 7, 2023 surrounded by family. She was educated in the Stephens County School System and was employed by Toccoa Nursing Center and Two-Day Design Furniture.

Lane loved fishing, dancing, taking pictures, her grand dog Bella, and lived her life to the fullest.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, her pride and joy, Dandrea Dortch Bridges (Taneka Bridges) of Carrollton Ga., her sisters; Regina Scott of Toccoa Ga, Kimberly Holloway (Charles Holloway) of Atlanta Ga. and Diane Benson of Toccoa Ga. Aunt and uncle; Dora Tate and Jimmy Tate (Tricia). Nieces; Shannon and Valeria Scott, late Quondra Tate and Mercedez Holloway and nephew Defarrell Hunter. Great nieces and nephews; Ty and EJ Scott, Deiondre, Lynquavious and Anashalin Fortson, Kaylen Fortson, Brantley Tate, and Kassi, Kycen and Defarrell Hunter. Five great-great nieces and nephews. She also leaves a host of cousins and friends to cherish her memory.
