Shirley Ann Major

Shirley Ann Major was born on May 28, 1947, in Toccoa GA. She was
the daughter of the late Benjamin (Benny) Poole and Catherine
Poole (Fleming). She moved to Anniston, Al. where she resided for over 25
years.

Shirley attended the former Whitman Street School. In her early years
she was employed with Wrights Manufacture Company, Trogdon Furniture
Company, Habersham Plantation, Toccoa Nursing Center, and later retired
from The Learning Tree Inc. in Piedmont, AL.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Freddie Major, brothers:
Mike Poole, Wayne Poole, Hansel Poole, and Willard Poole and sisters:
Christine Poole, Mary Davis, Virginia Teasley, Bertha Manley, and Gwendolyn
Goodine.

She is survived by her sons: Kerry “Butch” Major (Sheila), Terry Major
(Sharon), and Dyron Major all of Toccoa, GA; Daughter: Omega Pulliam
(Major) of Anniston, AL; Brothers: Anthony Poole (Judy) of Toccoa, GA, and
Paul Poole (Katrina) of San Antonio, TX; Twelve grandchildren and Nineteen
great grandchildren, and a host of loving and devoted nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends.

On Saturday, November 11, 2023, God called his daughter home from
Anniston Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Al. surrounded by her family.

She was loved by all that knew her. She will be deeply missed by her
family and friends.
