Susie Simpson

Susie Joleen Simpson departed this life on September 22, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital Athens, Ga. 

 She was born April 25, 1942 in Franklin County, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Martha Simpson and JB Cash. Susie graduated from Whitman Street High School in 1959. She joined Ellis Chapel at an early age. She was a member of several organizations including the trustee board, missionary society, stewardess, and usher board. She loved working in the church and her church families. 

 She worked in the education system for Stephens County for a number of years. She had a love and fondness for children. Later on she began working as a presser/ technician until her health started to decline. 

 Susie leaves to cherish her memories 2 sons, Graliing Simpson (Mauldine), who preceded her in death, Kistler (Costella) Simpson, of Toccoa,Ga; 1 daughter, Cassandra King, of Fair burn, Ga; 2 brothers, Thomas Simpson, who preceded her in death, and Dan (Phyllis) Simpson, of Toccoa,Ga; 2 sisters, Tina Young, of Toccoa, Ga and Sarah Richardson, of Washington, D.C.; 3 grandchildren Sergio Simpson, Alexis Simpson, and Gianna King; 1 great grandchild, Ahmad Simpson; 1 very special aunt, Bessie Simpson; a Godson Jamal Gillespie, she also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
